The Homestretch
Lacy hit a couple of milestones this last weekend. First she made it to 32 weeks!!! At her checkup on Thursday we found out the babies' weight and approx. length. Baby A is 4 lbs. and 2 oz. Baby B is 4 lbs. and 2 oz. Baby C weighed in at a whopping 4 lbs. and 5 oz. Lacy is hanging in there as well as can be expected, given that there is almost 13 lbs. of baby inside!!!! The second milestone this weekend was that she was able to go to church and worship on Easter Sunday. She stated on the way that she was really excited to go, since it had been 10 weeks since she was able to be there. She was really glad to go, but it was pretty exhausting for her to be there and be up and around for that long. All in all it was a great day and it was great to be at church as a family. Courtney told her teacher that every week there are four of us at church, but this week there wasn't anybody missing because her mommy was there. Kids really don't miss as much as sometimes we think they do. Today Lacy went back to the Dr. and had a non-stress test done to monitor the movement and heart rates of the babies. Each one did great!! Lacy was having some contractions while there, so they decided to give her some medication to stop those. The Dr. wants her to come back and have this test each week until the babies are born. Speaking of that, the Dr. went ahead and scheduled the C-section to take the babies. The date of the C-section is May 8 at 8:00 in the morning. Everyone mark your calendars. I will try to update again before the birth. I hope to get some pictures of the nursery on here as well. Again, thanks to all who have helped with the nursery, helped with meals, helped with housework, and helped with our kids. It is appreciated beyond what words can say and more than we could have imagined. As always, we are thankful for the continued prayers.
In Him,
Kevin and Lacy and Kids. (all 6)
