My newest revelation....we have A LOT of kids!

If you are reading this I am impressed...REALLY impressed actually. I'm certain all my friends have given up on this blog, but I thought I would not give up and try to be better about writing. The babies are growing so quickly and I would love for you to be able to check on them more often to see their growth.

Connor, Paige, and Bryce are 10 months old already and time has flown by more quickly than I would like. I am grateful for each new milestone especially the less frequent bottles, but at the same time I am sad that they are not tiny babies anymore. They have all been sitting up on their own since Christmas and they love to play together. They will sit for quite sometime until one decides they are done... usually it's because Connor has hit another one on the head with a toy. Not because he's mean...oh no, not my Connor... he is anything but mean. He's just bigger them them and that much stronger.

Connor weighs 22 lbs now and let me tell you, my arms and back can testify to that. Thankfully he does not require a lot of lifting. This sweet little guy is so laid back and happy all the time. I thank God for Connor's personality often....amidst all the chaos and confusion in our house he brings a sense of calm to our family (he's just like his father). Connor has his 2 bottom teeth and is working on 2 more. He loves the bigger kids especially Zack right now. Maybe because he thinks they are the same age since they practically look it. :)

Paige is still the little diva around here. She has discovered her voice and she can scream down the room. She screams when she's happy, she screams when she's mad and when she wants your attention she knows how to get it. The other day she kept looking at Connor and screaming at him. I was getting annoyed listening to it so I went over to scold her and see what the fuss was all about. Connor had a little tiny and very sharp cookie cutter in his mouth. Yikes! I dont know yet if she was protecting him and letting me know he was in danger or if she was just mad at him because she wanted it. Probably the latter. Both the boys just look at her like "what's YOUR problem?". I guess they better get used to it. SO, while Paige is both loud and bossy, she also has a sweet side to her like no other. She is quite the little daddy's girl and when he is around I don't exist. She loves to snuggle and look at books and she LOVES her bed. We lay her down and she plays until she falls asleep and in the morning she plays until we come get her... Gotta love it. Paige weighs 20 lbs now and she is still working on her teeth. None to speak of yet but she can't be the first to do EVERYTHING! She just started this week rocking on all fours so I'm sure crawling is in her near future. Baby gates are going to be my saving grace.

Bryce is doing remarkably well. He was sick with pneumonia in December and in January he had pneumonia and RSV. He was in the hospital for 2-3 days both times. That was awful to see my little baby in that big hospital bed. I didnt want to leave his side. Thank God for friends and family who were available to help watch the other kids so I didn't have to leave Bryce alone in the hospital. Since then he has stayed extremely healthy and has started gaining more weight. He is up to 18 lbs. now and eating like a horse. He eats more than Connor or Paige, but he isn't crazy about his bottles anymore, and not interested in a sippy cup quite yet. But, boy you give him baby food or crackers and he is one happy kid. Bryce is my little show off...when you flash him a smile he goes crazy with excitement! He smiles and laughs all the time and is super happy when he is being held. He has 3 bottom teeth and is working on another and 2 more on top. He is blowing Paige away!

Courtney, Lindsay and Zack are so wonderful with them. I thought the novelty would wear off quickly but they are still as interested in them as the day they came home. They can't really pick the babies up like they used to, but they still love to sit and hold them. The babies love them just as well. When the big kids are gone at school or their grandparents house the babies really miss them. Of course, I love to have the occasional break from the chaos of 6 children and all the reponsibilities in this house, but I am the happiest when we are all together at home! They are the joy of my life.
